Responsible for all aspects of managing the international sales business for ICE USA, National Hardware Show, Aluminum, and Fastener Fair USA. The international sales role involves leading a team of international sales reps located at different RX offices globally & motivating outside sales agents to sell as well. The international sales reps report directly through the International Country Managers and report dotted line to the International Sales executive for these four Shows.
The International Sales executive will be expected to maintain & further develop relationships with our Key International Accounts & Government Trade Associations. Great communication skills is a must with leading such a diverse team as well as managing multiple Shows. Fast paced but exciting industries that will include international & domestic travel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the process of setting international sales targets with Sales Directors
Develop international sales strategy alongside Sales & Event Directors for ICE, Functional Fabric Fair, Aluminum and Fastener Fair
Ensure Show provides relevant sales and marketing information to support international sales
Meet and exceed international sales target within portfolio of Shows
Monitor and forecast sales of International Sales Group, international direct sales and Agents with regular sales reviews and reporting
Motivate International Sales Group and Third-Party Sales Agents to deliver to target through regular ongoing communication
Provide show specific coaching and training to International Sales Group and Third-Party Sales Agents where needed
Develop and maintain relationships with trade associations in key territories and market Reed Exhibition opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant Government departments in key territories and lobby for funding and support for Reed Exhibitions events.
Identifying a need for new Third-Party Sales Agents in a specific territory and work with Sales Director to see if new agent is warranted
Develop & share international sales best practices with RXUS International sales team
Use market and customer knowledge to feedback into strategic development of shows
Visit competitor shows to seek prospects and gain market intelligence to share with show teams
Represent show teams at international sales planning & development meetings
Manage escalation issues between international clients and show team
Minimum of five years of sales and account management
International experience dealing with clients and/or agents in multiple territories and different cultures
Proven experience in developing new sales territories and delivering significant revenue growth
A collaborative team member but with a forceful sales personality
Confident to work as part of an international team across business unit boundaries
Ability to work independently and drive the activity for territories
Willingness to travel (approximately 60%) and ability operate in diverse and sometimes challenging international markets
Empathy and understanding of other cultures and business practices
A second language is highly desirable
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational and accurate reporting skills
