Attendee Acquisition Manager ISC Security Events

RX is looking for a talented individual with strong relationship building skills and an interest in advanced technologies to be an Attendee Acquisition Manager. Attendee Acquisition Specialists are responsible for executing on Reed’s Targeted Attendee Program (TAP) in strong and evolving industries through directly driving key attendees/attendee segments to our live events and digital products (365 engagement), where applicable. Your ability to understand the buyer’s industry and speak to them in their language is critical to portray the brand and events in a light that makes them “can’t miss” engagements. Understanding new data mining opportunities and building customer databases to help drive growth is key. Engaging with external prospects and collaborating with internal customer groups like sales and marketing is critical. Providing ongoing insight into the evolution of our customer experience will prove you are embedded into the industry and your understanding of customer needs is strong.

This position will identify, build, and sustain key attendee customer relationships before, during and after the show. This role can be remote, but the person must be willing to travel, work East Coast hours and come to the Norwalk, CT offices once per quarter.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Understand industry value chain, purchasing cycles, product needs, upcoming trends, corporate structures

  • Attend competitive shows and key industry events to strengthen existing and potential customer relationships while prospecting new business

  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate customers at Director/VP/GM/C-level, regional influencers (US and international), and industry associations; through face-to-face visits, phone calls and e-mails throughout the show cycle to evangelize the brand, understand changing buying needs, solicit feedback on new brand initiatives, drive brand engagement.

  • Identify regions and targets that are high potential; “under-attending” proportionately compared to others in industry; develop outreach plans to attract to brand events

  • Collaborate with event leadership to develop brand extensions, based on intelligence gathered from market contacts and research; assist sales in developing leads and linking to audience recruitment

  • Develop target lists and attract new audiences from industry growth segments to brand’s digital and in-person events

  • Identify target segments through database matching and discovery

  • Responsible for results reporting, tracking reports and list development along with data integrity

  • Collaborate with Sales to deeply understand exhibitors’ businesses, in order to facilitate bespoke connections and business relationships.

  • Develop education content and events such as thought leadership engagements, exclusive market-specific events, organize programs such as VIP market tours

  • Participate in recruitment of members for and facilitation of industry attendee advisory committee

  • Act as liaison with marketing team to ensure all initiatives are consistent within overall marketing communications and brand position

  • Provide direction and guidance around all experiential elements of the Tap Program; manage lounge onsite

  • Travel to Norwalk, CT offices once per quarter for in-person meetings with the team/training


  • College Degree in business, sales, marketing or related field

  • Account management/Sales or related experience desired

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail needed

  • Strong productivity computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills required
