About the team and role:

The RXA business is changing rapidly and as a result the way in which we interact with our customers and their demands will also change.

The FP&A and Finance Departments therefore must be responsive to change and be able to work effectively in such an environment.  The teams will work closely and engage with all other departments of the company, particularly, Sales and Marketing and Operations and is expected to have a full understanding of the business.

The FP&A team, whilst reporting to the Regional CFO, APAC, consists of 3 team members, the FP&A Manager and 2 Finance Business Analysts.

This is a permanent full-time role to be based in Sydney with the possibility of combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities include:

Reporting to the FP&A Manager as part of the FP&A team within RXA, the Finance Business Analyst will be required to provide effective finance support to the senior management team with the financial analysis and reporting relating to specified events and cost centres. 

The role has four main areas of focus for specified events and cost centres: a) Provide support and analysis of event P&L and functional costs forecasts, b) prepare Strategic plans and budgets in partnership with Senior Management, c) completion of the event pricing templates and d) ad hoc analysis as required.

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

  • Effective at documenting and communicating the results of work to cross-functional team members and management and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.

  • Strong personal planning, organisational, and time management skills evidenced by a track record of following through on commitments within agreed time frames

  • Resilient, tenacious and outcome focused.

  • Ability to respond quickly and innovatively to manage and enhance reputation.

To be successful in this role, you will have: (please add/edit this section as required)

  • 3 +years’ experience in either a business facing financial analysis role or management accounting.

  • Big 4 audit experience (preferred).

  • Have obtained or be working towards a CPA, MBA, Financial Degree or Diploma.

  • High level of competency in advanced Microsoft applications including Word, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of Hyperion Suite of applications (Essbase, OBIEE, Power BI and Planning)

  • Strong communication skills and understanding of how to present complex financial information and models to non-financial and senior managers.

  • Experience evaluating business results, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

  • Experience preparing and reporting financial analysis, economic research, financial feasibility studies and return on investments.

  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

  • Experience working independently in a complex environment and delivering to multiple stakeholders.
