Norwalk, CT USA
40 hours / week
Contract Type:
Schedule Type:
Full time
Job ID:

ReedPop produces some of the biggest pop culture events in the world and this job plays an important role in bringing those experiences to life.

Our games events are a celebration of all things gaming, from our flagship events like E3 to our portfolio of PAX and EGX shows. Each one is a place for communities to gather and celebrate video games, gaming culture and the games industry as a whole.

Our Content Coordinator will support and help curate, create and execute all of the incredible games content that will come to life across our shows. This includes panel content, concerts, autographs, special activations, freeplay and tournaments and all sorts of features that take place during our events.

There is no typical day for a content coordinator and your day to day responsibilities could be anything from brainstorming exciting content activations with a developer for their upcoming release, to curating special games events, to reviewing and updating the show schedule on our website. You might go from networking with popular streamers, to scouring the convention center for a missing box of merchandise or finding water for panelists at one of our theatres.

The Content Coordinator plays a key role by working on every part of the show’s lifecycle - from the creation of new content ideas, to the pre-planning process, to panel curation, special guest outreach, scheduling, budgeting, and then, finally, invoice payment and sending out thank you cards. We are looking for a dynamic person who is enthusiastic about games as a medium and excited about delivering content that gamers will love!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Craft communications for all special guests
  • Help curate and schedule all panel content
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key content partners and always provide a high level of customer service
  • Data input and updates for our websites and mobile apps
  • Help conceive and execute unique content activations at our shows
  • Track and meet internal deadlines for all panel submissions, show staff travel, housing, content releases and more
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects with many different internal and external partners
  • Must have a strong capacity for multi-tasking, working independently and collaboratively, and have effective time management skills
  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented to ensure all content partners are being communicated with in a comprehensive and timely manner
  • Bring the same level of passion to every project you work on, no matter how big or small it is, and always respect each customer you work with
  • Never be afraid to jump into the white space and try something new. Big ideas are encouraged here.
  • Always be thinking about the fan experience and the content we deliver at our shows and how they can be improved

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Some demonstrable experience in events, project management, marketing or other relevant field.
  • Strong copy writing skills are required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, detail oriented & proactive with a strong sense of ownership and a true passion for video games, tabletop games, fan communities and gaming culture.
  • Ability to multi-task, shift priorities and focus on finding solutions
  • We are looking for a creative thinker and a problem solver – someone who can deliver innovative content ideas that fans will love and also be capable of executing them
  • Resourceful and willing to find creative solutions that will help you achieve your goals
  • We want an empathetic, positive and humble person that will truly care about their co-workers, our partners and the fans
  • You should be a happy, optimistic person that enjoys seeing the big picture while not missing out on the details
  • Able to adjust and thrive within a fast-paced work environment with unpredictable deadlines and schedules
  • Must be flexible in your viewpoints, always looking for the best ideas and ready to be an advocate for ideas other than your own
  • Secure enough in yourself to be able to ask for help, say “I don’t know” and always learn from your mistakes
  • Ability to work outside of traditional work day hours (such as onsite at our events) when needed
  • Professional level knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Some travel is required. Approximately 6-8 times per year

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • College degree or equivalent business training preferred.
  • Ability to work flexibly on different events. Our marketing team is very collaborative, so you may be asked to work on additional ReedPop events as bandwidth allows to assist those shows throughout the year.
  • Knowledge of or contacts in the games industry are an advantage, but not essential.
