Thanks to ReedPop’s successful portfolio of pop culture events and digital brands, we have a requirement for an experienced and ambitious Sales Director to drive continued growth across our high-profile games events portfolio, which includes PAX and EGX, in particular at the current time as we bring our fresh vision for E3 to the market. 


Working with the biggest games publishers, agencies, media partners and non-endemic brands, this role will take full advantage of ReedPop’s leading position in the market to bring major commercial opportunities, event experiences and sponsorship activations to our deep roster of clients, and engaging our diverse range of consumer and industry audiences. 


This will suit a forward-thinking, driven and experienced senior commercial operator, who is used to dealing with major clients, brands and agencies in a highly visible and high-profile role. Rather than management or team leadership experience, the seniority of this role is instead associated with the senior commercial firepower you can personally bring to the table and the impact you will be able to make in this industry as a result. 


Responsibilities Include:  

  • Work autonomously as part of an experienced global commercial team to take a leading role in the events sales cycle across a diverse range of direct and agency clients, media partners and brands.

  • Deliver against clear and significant commercial targets that will result in both personal and shared team successes.

  • Manage new and existing client relationships, with a particular ability to present, pitch and build high profile relationships with major agencies and large gaming and entertainment customers. 

  • Play a role in the full lifecycle of events sales, from prospecting leads to pitching, tendering, and delivering event experiences, to reporting and campaign follow up. 

  • As a senior member of the commercial team, a high level of ownership and accountability is key to this role, including continuous communication with management and stakeholders. 


Required Skills and Experience:  

  • Demonstrable and significant ability to succeed in a demanding, client-facing, commercially-oriented event sales, media sales or other relevant senior commercial role. 

  • In particular, a track record of selling events solutions and/or media advertising solutions to video games, pop culture, entertainment and/or technology clients, agencies and media partners would be a huge positive. 

  • Instinctive ability to manage and grow relationships, especially with major media agencies. 

  • Ability to present to all levels of seniority, both externally and internally. 

  • High degree of business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit. 

  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral. 

  • A strong work ethic with a high degree of determination and drive. 

  • A positive attitude and a team mentality. 

  • Show passion, knowledge and excitement about the videogames sector in general. 


Desirable Skills and Experience:  

  • Good standard of education, ideally to Degree level, or equivalent. 

  • Detailed knowledge of the games industry, key titles and a personal passion for the sector. 

  • An interest in the technology, entertainment lifestyle and pop culture sector in general.
