The Sales Director for ITS America Events will be joining a highly experienced team, including the association partner – ITS America, with deep knowledge of trade show management and experience on within the ITS industry.   This positions really encompasses everything involving sales from not only managing a limited, but highly valuable customer base (Qualcomm, HNTB, Amazon Web Services, Siemens Mobility, etc.), along with overseeing a team and working to achieve and exceed event targets.  You will be immersed in developing Sales strategies that align with the event goals, developing growth opportunities and responsible for tracking progress to budget.  As a recently acquired event, ITS America Events presents an abundance of growth potential!!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with your sales team to develop individual selling strategies designed to generate pipeline of prospects and ultimately drive sales to ensure a minimum of 100% attainment of sales target for booth and media sales.
  • Coach and empower sales team to enhance our consultative sales approach via training and Role Plays
  • Drive Media Sales by working closely with Sponsorship Sales Manager and Product Manager
  • Partner with various internal department such as Floor plans, Marketing, Operation, Conference, Finance, etc. to ensure we are working towards that same goals.
  • Provide regular reporting and/or forecasting to Portfolio Sales Director, Event Director and Senior Leadership team
  • Develop and coordinate a strategy to increase International sales by working closely with Event Director and our International Sales Group
  • Monitor sales team productivity and implement best practices/standards including - inputting accurate and complete data, managing territory, daily output goals, weekly strike rates, assigned budgets, etc.
  • Proactively monitor industry trends and competitive environment to make recommendations regarding sales strategy
  • Sell and/or help prepare sales teams to sell at competitive shows and prepare show analysis and reports in an accurate/timely manner, including recommended actions necessary to increase sales
  • Manage and broaden Exhibitor Prospect Lists and generate targeted lists to increase the probability of sales
  • Utilize all internal tools to create a more effective and efficient selling environment
