This position is for a Software Engineer II and will require completion of software development assignments which include Research and Analysis, Design and Prototyping, Development, Integration and Testing, Implementation, and Maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the administration and configuration of the ServiceNow application modules
- Participate in the creation of new solutions and/or enhancements to existing solutions using ServiceNow development tools and other programming / scripting languages (REST, JavaScript, HTML, PowerShell, etc.)
- Resolve Incidents and fulfill Service requests and stories according to defined Service Level Agreements (SLA) and company policies
- Consult with customers regarding ServiceNow features and functions
- Engage with customers to create Dashboards and Reports (as requested)
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases utilizing the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF)
- Create and maintain documentation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of Software Engineering experience
- BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience in an application development role: proficient in REST, JavaScript, and HTML
- The ability to evaluate business problems: develop technical specifications and solutions that meets or exceeds the defined requirements resulting in a better customer experience
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening)
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience within the ServiceNow ecosystem (development tools, database schema, etc.) and ITSM applications (Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, and Asset)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) schema and CI classes
- Create, implement, and maintain REST APIs and integrations between ServiceNow and external services
- Familiarity with Public Cloud (IaaS and SaaS) and On-Premise Data Center concepts and technologies
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
