ABOUT THE MEDIA TEAM:

The Media Department at Reed Exhibitions is a dynamic group of creative individuals who drive revenue, create event sponsorships, digital opportunities and participate in value based selling.  This group is the hub for all sponsorship and advertising programs at our events.  They develop new ideas to wow our customers, and work behind the scenes to see those ideas from start to finish in the execution of these programs onsite.  We’re looking for someone with an eye on a little bit of everything…sales, marketing, finance, analytics, operations, and the finest level of detail.  Are you enthusiastic, creative, have a passion for events and all things digital and ready to learn and share in a fast-paced environment?  If so, get ready for the ride!

   

WHAT’S EXCITING ABOUT THIS ROLE:  

Working directly with the Sales Teams, the Sponsorship Sales Consultant is responsible for maintaining digital, print, and sponsorship product inventory, researching new sponsorship opportunities, and working with internal departments as well as external vendors to deliver products. Half of your time will be spent on product management while the other half will be spent participating on partner calls with the core Sales team conducting value based selling conversations.  The Sponsorship Sales Consultant is also heavily involved with the sponsorship fulfillment team, ensuring proper execution of each sponsorship sold pre-show and onsite.  

BRING YOUR PASSION AND EXPERTISE:

  • Develop new product offerings for assigned brands with a primary focus on digital innovation and new media

  • Review and improve existing product offerings

  • Create a highly collaborative environment with best practice sharing across events teams

  • Evaluate current market and assigned industry sector conditions to develop relevant revenue generating sponsorship opportunities

  • Identify future market opportunities and define product vision and strategy

  • Understand customer needs and align the right products to ensure customer success

  • Produce visually pleasing proposals for customers

  • Motivated to achieve and exceed sales targets

  • Engage closely with the Sales and Fulfillment teams to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as a reasonable execution schedule

  • The ideal candidate will be well versed in the digital world and have experience in the creation and implementation of a wide range of products and services that are applicable across the Event Management space

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLSETS:

  • College degree in business/marketing or related area, or equivalent business experience required

  • Three or more years of related business experience preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required

  • High level of computer systems comprehension, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Strong creativity skills to assist in the development of new sponsorship products

  • Sales experience highly preferred

  • Digital experience highly preferred

  • Approximate Travel of 25% required
