About the team and role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Sales Executive working across Reed Exhibition’s retail portfolio. This is a Permanent full-time role based in Sydney with flexibility to suit your work-life balance!
This role works within a team of 7 and reports into the Group Sales Manager. The prime purpose of this role is to actively identify, qualify, call and pursue new business opportunities across Reed Exhibitions portfolio of exhibitions and events as well as ability to meet and/or exceed your monthly and annual sales targets as set by the Group Sales Manager.
If you are someone early in their career either in telemarketing or sales and keen to get industry exposure, master the art of value-led sales, has strong sales acumen, ability to communicate with decision makers and the ability to build effective relationships, then this role if for you!
Additional responsibilities include:
Actively seek and convert new business leads into sales as per the team strategy and timeline.
Progress the leads gained in the prospecting activities and converting these into customers.
Target lost customers and re-activating them as an existing customer.
Build and maintain an accurate database of new prospects that supports the performance of your pipeline to achieve sales targets.
Increase awareness of the show and the benefits of attending other relevant shows.
Meet and exceed sales activities including telephone activity, proposal presentation, pipeline progression and target attainment
Provide effective client contact to facilitate positive lasting customer and company results.
As part of this role you may be required to travel to any exhibition or conference that you are working on

To be considered for this role you will need:
A genuine interest and aptitude for sales - entry level experience welcomed – sales exposure or experience in achieving targets is advantageous.
Ability to articulate your value and demonstrate a great attitude and willingness to learn.
Capability to generate leads, identify prospects and close sales.
Aptitude to clearly articulate information to customers.
Capacity to stay focused and be productive within tight timeframes.
To be able to demonstrate urgency within the sales process.
Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
To work well autonomously and within a team.
Good computer skills particularly with the MS Office package.
